Terms of service

What Bookla is

Bookla lets businesses take bookings online and lets their customers book appointments. Bookla is not a party to the appointment itself — that's an agreement between the customer and the business. We don't take payment for the appointment; that's paid directly to the business.

Fees, for businesses

  • No subscription fee.
  • £0.40 for each booking from your own existing clients, capped at £39 in a calendar month.
  • £2.50 for each new client who books with you for the first time via Bookla's own marketplace.
  • Fees are billed automatically to the card on file, once a month, for the month just finished.
  • A cancelled booking or one marked as a no-show is not charged.

Businesses are responsible for

  • The accuracy of their own services, prices and opening hours.
  • Honouring bookings made through Bookla.
  • Complying with their own obligations to customers — consumer law, health and safety, insurance, and so on. Bookla is booking software, not a substitute for those.
  • Keeping their account details, and their customers' data, secure.

Customers

Booking through Bookla doesn't cost anything extra. Cancelling or rescheduling is between you and the business — check their policy on the booking confirmation. Payment for the appointment itself is made directly to the business.

Cancelling your Bookla account

A business can stop using Bookla at any time — unpublish or delete your listing from Settings. You remain responsible for any fees already owed for bookings that already happened.

Liability

Bookla is provided as-is. We aim for the booking calendar and fee calculations to be accurate and reliable, but we're not liable for losses arising from missed bookings, downtime, or errors in a business's own listing content.
