Privacy policy

Who we are
Bookla is booking software for salons, barbers and similar businesses in the UK. This policy covers two kinds of people: business owners who list on Bookla, and their customers who book appointments.
What we collect
- Business owners: name, email, business details, and payment card details (held by our payment processor, Stripe — Bookla never sees or stores full card numbers).
- Customers booking an appointment: name, mobile number, and email if given, plus which service and time was booked.
Why we collect it
- To let a business run its calendar and know who's booked in.
- To confirm a booking with the customer.
- To calculate and collect Bookla's own fees from businesses.
- We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who it's shared with
A customer's booking details are visible to the specific business they booked with — that's the point of the service. Data is stored with Supabase (our database provider) and payment details are handled by Stripe. Neither uses the data for their own purposes. We don't share data with anyone else.
How long we keep it
For as long as the relevant business account is active, so they can see booking history and repeat clients. A business owner can delete a customer's record on request. Deleting a business account removes its data.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask what data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you booked an appointment somewhere, the quickest route is asking that business directly, since they hold the record — or contact us and we'll help.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep business owners logged in. No tracking or advertising cookies.
